Alantra advises Wedoogift on its sale to Sodexo to create the leader in gift vouchers in France

Paris – Alantra, the global investment banking and asset management specialist, announces that it has advised Wedoogift, a start-up specializing in digital employee benefits solutions and SaaS (ticketing, discount area, accounting, management, and communication site) for companies, social and economic committees (CSE) and local authorities, on its sale to Sodexo, through its subsidiary Sodexo Benefits & Rewards Services in France, thereby creating a leader in gift vouchers in France.

Founded in 2014 by Jérôme Proust, Wedoogift, a “digital native” player, has developed a solution that saves time and eliminates all the traditional costs of delivery, storage, and distribution of gift vouchers. Thanks to its digital platform, the company promotes benefits by offering a unique customer and user experience. Based on transparency, with the reimbursement of expired gift vouchers and real-time consumption monitoring, the Wedoogift model is a real success and simplifies the daily lives of 1.4 million employees.

The acquisition, made through Sodexo’s subsidiary Sodexo Benefits & Rewards Services in France, strengthens Sodexo’s position in the employee benefits market and enables it to continue its transformation to an all-digital environment by joining forces with a digital native. As the creator of gift vouchers with its TirGroupé brand, Sodexo already has the trust of more than 40,000 clients and 3.5 million employees, to whom it offers unique expertise in the management of gift vouchers and incentive programs, combined with the most attractive network of affiliated merchants in the market with more than 90,000 points of sale.

Thanks to their complementary activities and combined expertise, Sodexo and Wedoogift intend to offer companies, CSEs and local authorities the most extensive and innovative range of products and services on the market for nearly 50,000 clients and 5 million employees, whether it is a paper, card or dematerialized version.
