Madrid/Lisbon – Alantra has acted as debt advisor to RE Capital, a pan-European real estate investment, asset, and development management firm, on securing a secured floating-rate note facility of up to €75.6mn for two residential development projects in Lisbon, Portugal.

The facility, subscribed by Maslow Capital, will be used to refinance existing financial indebtedness, as well as to fund the development of the projects. The financing is structured through senior secured notes. The transaction required a tailored financing structure combining refinancing and development funding, while accommodating the project’s phased construction plan, commercialization strategy, and future flexibility.

Guillermo Hernández, Director at Alantra, said: “This transaction demonstrates Alantra’s ability to deliver tailored financing solutions for complex residential development projects, combining refinancing, development funding and flexibility. It also reinforces our strong positioning in the Portuguese real estate financing market, where we continue to see significant lender appetite for high-quality, well-located projects”

Jorge Roa, Managing Director at Alantra, added: “We are pleased to have supported RE Capital on this new financing in Lisbon which marks the second financing Alantra has closed with RE Capital, further strengthening our relationship with a sponsor with an active residential development pipeline in Lisbon.”

This transaction builds on Alantra’s strong track record in Real Estate Debt Advisory, including advising OHLA on the €63mn refinancing of Galería Canalejas Madrid, Värde Partners on securing a €61mn refinancing of landmark office assets in Lisbon and Porto, and Meliá Hotels International and Banca March on the €93mn financing of a two-hotel portfolio in Spain.
