London – Alantra has acted as exclusive debt adviser to PLP on the £67mn senior development financing of PLP Nottingham, a c.700,000 sq ft speculative Grade A logistics development in the UK’s logistics “Golden Triangle”.

Located directly fronting the M1, PLP Nottingham forms part of PLP’s portfolio of prime UK logistics assets. PLP is a leading UK logistics development and investment management platform, with c.10mn sq ft of logistics space completed or under development. The business is institutionally backed by Peel Group, Macquarie and La Caisse.

Alantra supported PLP throughout the financing process, from lender engagement and selection through structuring, negotiation, execution and closing. Following a competitive process, ING was selected to provide the £67mn senior development facility.

John Starkie, Managing Director at Alantra, said: “PLP Nottingham combines the scale, specification and location that continue to attract institutional capital to the UK logistics sector. The breadth of appetite we saw throughout the process is particularly encouraging for development financing and demonstrates that lenders remain willing to deploy capital behind high-quality projects and experienced sponsors.”

This transaction further reinforces Alantra’s track record across UK Real Assets and financing, following recent roles advising Therme Group on its €1bn+ strategic joint venture with CVC Capital Partners, Arcus Infrastructure Partners on its agreement to acquire Volta Data Centres from Verne, and iBC Healthcare on securing an investment and development debt facility from Barclays Bank and Nationwide.
