London – Alantra acted as financial advisor to Kent PLC, a Dubai-based engineering firm, on the acquisition of Sudlows Consulting, a leading data center design and engineering consultancy with operations across the UAE, KSA, India, and South Africa.

Kent is a global integrated energy services partner, delivering engineering expertise and project solutions across the oil and gas, industrial, renewables, and low-carbon sectors. The acquisition of Sudlows Consulting represents a significant milestone in Kent’s five-year diversification strategy, marking its strategic entry into the rapidly expanding international data centre engineering market. This acquisition further strengthens Kent’s commitment to sector diversification and its focus on advancing sustainability initiatives.

Robert Pearce, Director at Alantra, said: “We are delighted to have supported Kent on this strategic acquisition. The transaction underscores the increasing demand for digital infrastructure expertise and the significant opportunities in the data center development space.  With Kent’s backing, we look forward to Sudlows Consulting becoming a global leader in the design of sustainable, efficient, and secure data centres.”

This transaction highlights Alantra’s expertise in the digital infrastructure and engineering consulting sectors, further solidifying its credentials in data center development, where the team recently advised Exponent on its investment in Ethos Engineering, or Sobro on the Sale of Vinnergi to Polaris.
