London – Alantra has advised Armira as exclusive M&A and Debt adviser on the acquisition of a leading European contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) specialising in vitamins, minerals and supplements (VMS), sports nutrition and wellness products.
The business is a leading full-service CDMO with advanced development and manufacturing capabilities across a broad range of dosage forms, serving a diversified customer base of fast-growing consumer health and nutrition brands. The company operates modern manufacturing facilities in Germany and employs approximately 350 people.
This transaction further strengthens Alantra’s position as one of the most active advisers in the global nutraceuticals and VMS sector. It represents Alantra’s fourth European transaction in the nutraceutical CDMO market in the last three years, following its advice on the sale of Aakamp to Procemsa, the sale of Bee Health to INW, and Procemsa’s acquisition of OFI.
The transaction also marks Alantra’s third successful buy-side mandate for Armira in the healthcare sector over the last two years, highlighting the firm’s long-standing relationship with the investment company and its ability to deliver integrated M&A and debt advisory services on complex cross-border transactions.
