Paris – Alantra has advised PROVA, a French family-owned company founded in 1946 and headquartered in the Paris region, on a €77mn financing package arranged with a group of six banks.

The financing comprises a 6-year amortizing Term Loan A, a 7-year bullet Term Loan B, a capex & acquisition facility as well as a revolving credit facility. The proceeds will be used to refinance existing debt and support PROVA’s operational investment plan.

The financing was placed with Société Générale, LCL, BRED, BNP Paribas, Caisse d’Epargne Île-de-France and Crédit Agricole Centre Loire. Société Générale acted as facilities agent, with all six banks acting as co-arrangers.

The transaction was significantly oversubscribed and concluded at competitive margins, reflecting the quality of PROVA’s credit profile and strong demand from the banking market.

Founded in 1946 and based in the Paris region, PROVA is a French family-owned company specialized in sweet brown extracts and flavors, primarily vanilla and cocoa. The group employs nearly 500 people world-wide, operates through five sites in France, and generates around 80% of its revenue internationally.

Pierre-Louis Nahon, Managing Partner at Alantra, said: “We are pleased to have supported PROVA in structuring a long-term financing package aligned with its refinancing needs and operational investment plan. The strong response from the banking market reflects the quality of the group’s credit profile and the clarity of its industrial growth strategy.”
