London –  Alantra has acted as exclusive financial advisor to Therme Group in securing up to €245mn in growth investment from Sculptor Real Estate. This strategic partnership will support the development of Therme Group’s flagship wellbeing resorts across Europe, including the upcoming Therme Manchester project.

Therme Manchester, a €500mn, 28-acre development in Greater Manchester, is set to become the UK’s first large-scale wellbeing destination. The resort will feature thermal and mineral pools, botanical gardens, water experiences, fitness and wellness spaces, and cultural programming, all designed to promote urban wellbeing and community engagement.

Adrian Ion, Chief Financial Officer, Therme Group, said: “We are delighted to have worked with Alantra on this complex transaction. They have consistently exceeded expectations to help us get this deal over the line. Alantra’s collaborative approach, strategic guidance and ability to embed their team within our business helped us successfully navigate a complex fundraising process and significantly enhanced our in-house corporate finance capabilities. Alantra have repeatedly demonstrated that they have a strong leadership team, can-do attitude and deep investor relationships.”

Bobby Fletcher, Managing Director and UK Head of Real Estate at Alantra, added: “We are delighted to have advised Therme Group on this significant investment from Sculptor Real Estate. This partnership underscores Therme’s strong track record in developing and operating world-class wellbeing destinations and accelerates their ambitious expansion plans. We look forward to continuing our support as Therme Group brings transformative wellbeing experiences to urban centres worldwide.”

This transaction builds upon Alantra’s previous advisory role in Therme Group’s acquisition of Therme Erding, the world’s current largest wellbeing destination, in December 2024, establishing Therme Group as the world’s largest operator of wellbeing infrastructure.
