Alantra advises J.C. Flowers & Co. on the acquisition of Pepper Advantage from KKR

London/Dublin – Alantra acted as lead buy-side financial advisor to J.C. Flowers & Co. (“JCF”) on its successful leveraged buyout of Pepper Advantage, a pan-European loan servicing and global credit intelligence platform, from KKR. Alantra supported JCF as both M&A and acquisition debt advisor through a complex transaction process.

Pepper Advantage, which operates across Ireland, the UK, Greece, India, and Fiji, manages approximately €50bn in assets under management, servicing both residential and commercial mortgages, as well as a broad range of other credit products.

The mandate required intricate cross-border structuring, negotiation, and a deep expertise in both M&A and credit to navigate the multi-jurisdictional regulatory environment and Pepper Advantage’s suite of services. Alantra leveraged its combined M&A and credit advisory capabilities to deliver a tailored, successful outcome for JCF.

This transaction builds on Alantra’s strong momentum in the FIG and credit management sectors, following its recent sell-side advisory roles in the sale of a €1.3 bn NPL portfolio for Servdebt, the strategic partnership and capital investment between Bamboo Payment Systems and StoneX, and the divestiture of HDI International’s Argentina and Uruguay subsidiaries to Barbuss.
