Energy Transition Fund

Alantra’s energy transition fund, Klima, is a €210mn late-stage venture fund that supports energy-tech companies in their early-growth phase. Klima aims to back breakthrough innovations that accelerate the energy transition and slow the pace of climate change. Alongside Enagás, as cornerstone investor, Klima is backed by leading investors such as the European Investment Fund, Axis ICO, and CPPI.

Regionally, Klima’s primary focus is Europe, while also covering North America. Klima is an energy-tech specialist investing across the following verticals: low-carbon solutions, incremental technologies and automation for renewable generation, smart grids, energy storage and power markets, and sustainable mobility and transportation. These are supported by two cross-cutting themes: energy efficiency and digital solutions.

Because of the intrinsic nature of its investments, Klima is an impact fund by nature and ESG- compliant by design, and is therefore classified as an Article 9.2 fund under the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation.
