Madrid – Alantra, the independent global financial services firm, has acted as exclusive financial advisor to Talde Capital and the founders of Engineered Fire Piping (EFP), a leading European manufacturer of prefabricated piping for fire protection systems, on the sale a majority stake to Kartesia.
Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Yuncos (Toledo), EFP specializes in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of prefabricated piping and equipment for fire protection systems. The company combines customized engineering capabilities with automated manufacturing processes, providing specialized solutions for industrial facilities and critical infrastructure.
Since Talde Capital’s investment in 2020, EFP has undergone a significant period of growth and transformation alongside its founders, driven by international expansion, investment in industrial capacity, and product diversification. Over this period, the company has expanded its presence from 31 to more than 40 countries, with international markets accounting for approximately 60% of sales. Its workforce has more than doubled to over 200 employees, while its industrial facilities now span approximately 45,000 square meters across production, storage, and logistics. EFP, which generated approximately €29mn in revenue in 2020, expects to exceed €70mn in 2026.
The transaction marks the successful exit of Talde Capital following six years of partnership with EFP’s founders, during which the company strengthened its industrial capabilities and consolidated its position as a leading European specialist in fire protection systems. The founding shareholders have decided to reinvest alongside Kartesia and will continue leading the company, supporting its next phase of development.
Pedro Serrano, Director at Alantra, commented: “Talde Capital and EFP’s founders have built a strong industrial business, significantly expanding its international presence, manufacturing capabilities, and product offering over the past six years. We are pleased to have supported them throughout this process, helping deliver a successful outcome that recognizes the value they have created and positions EFP for its next phase of growth.”
This transaction further strengthens Alantra’s track record in the Industrials sector, following recent advisory roles to Bridgepoint Développement Capital on the sale of Sotralu Group to Andera Partners, Ethica Global Investments and the shareholders of WeBlade on its sale to IGI Private Equity, and Battle Investment Group on the sale of TRS Services to Allied Power Group.
