New York – Alantra has advised Battle Investment Group (“Battle”) on the sale of TRS Services (“TRS”), a leading provider of turbine component repair services, to Allied Power Group (“APG”). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, TRS provides repair services for heavy, light, and aeroderivative industrial gas turbines, serving OEMs, owner-operators, and independent service providers in the United States and internationally. The company has built a strong reputation for technical expertise, reliable quality, and rapid turnaround times, with capabilities across Siemens, Alstom, and GE turbine platforms.

The combination expands APG’s component repair capabilities and adds technical expertise and capacity across complementary turbine platforms, strengthening its ability to support customers across the turbine service lifecycle.

Alantra supported Battle throughout a targeted and highly competitive sale process, drawing on its deep knowledge of TRS and extensive experience across the power generation and rotating equipment sector. Having previously advised on the sale of TRS in 2024, Alantra was able to identify the strong market demand for differentiated turbine component repair businesses, position TRS with a focused group of buyers for whom its capabilities were strategically important, and leverage detailed knowledge of buyer acquisition criteria and market valuations to support negotiations on both price and transaction terms.

The team also broadened the buyer universe beyond traditional power turbine services players to include companies operating across both aerospace and power turbine markets, where demand for exposure to the power generation sector continues to grow. This combination of sector insight, buyer intelligence, and transaction execution enabled Alantra to run a short, focused, and competitive process.

Jon Tetirick, Director at Alantra, said: “TRS has built a strong position in the turbine repair market, supported by deep technical expertise and a compelling growth profile. Our longstanding knowledge of the business and the buyer landscape allowed us to run a highly targeted process and deliver a successful outcome for Battle.”

This transaction marks Alantra’s eighth power generation and rotating equipment deal in the past two years and further reinforces the firm’s strong track record in the sector. Recent mandates include advising WeBlade on its sale to IGI Private Equity, Allied Power Group on its acquisition of EthosEnergy’s Generator division assets, Mangrove Equity Partners on the sale of PowerParts Group to JLL Partners, TOPS Field Services on its sale to Capstreet, Turbine Services Limited on its sale to EthosEnergy, EthosEnergy on its sale to One Equity Partners, and Power Plant Services on its sale to Center Rock Capital Partners. Alantra also previously advised Tuckerman Capital on the sale of TRS Services to Battle Investment Group in 2024.
