Chile – Alantra has advised the shareholders of Punto Ticket, a leading live events ticketing provider in Chile and Peru, on the sale of a majority stake in the Company. The buyers were a Joint Venture (JV) between CTS Eventim (XTRA: EVD), a globally recognized leader in ticketing and live entertainment services, and Sony Music, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, a major global music conglomerate.

CTS EVENTIM (XTRA: EVD) is a leading international provider of ticketing services and live entertainment, marketing about 250 million tickets per year through the Company’s systems – via physical box offices and mobile/online portals. Additionally, CTS EVENTIM Group owns several companies that promote concerts, tours, and festivals, such as Rock am Ring, Rock in Park, Hurricane, Southside, and Lucca Summer.

Sony Music is one of the world’s largest music conglomerates, overseeing various aspects of the music industry, from talent discovery to global promotion and distribution. It owns and operates numerous record labels, manages artists and publishing rights, distributes music across multiple platforms, and collaborates with artists to create merchandise associated with their music.

Danton Vinales, Founder and CTO at Punto Ticket, commented: “This partnership propels us into a new growth trajectory within the impressive CTS EVENTIM and Sony Music network. The collaborative essence of this venture not only enriches our technological skills but also amplifies the service quality for promoters, artists, and fans alike. As we complement our local expertise with global capabilities, the future is ripe with promises of superior live entertainment experiences. I, alongside the Punto Ticket & Teleticket teams, eagerly anticipate the remarkable journey and achievements ahead with our new partners.”

Pablo Larraín, Partner at Alantra, added: “We are delighted to advise the shareholders and founder of Punto Ticket on this pivotal transaction. Punto Ticket’s ambitious team has built a unique ticketing platform in the region and will expand further with the support of CTS Eventim and Sony Music.”

With the acquisition of Punto Ticket and Teleticket, the JV between the companies now offers ticketing services in three of South America’s largest live entertainment markets: Brazil, Chile, and Peru.
