Alantra advises Pollen Street Capital on the merger of Capital Flow and Bunq

London – Alantra, the global investment banking and asset management specialist, has advised independent alternative investment management company, Pollen Street Capital, on the merger of its Irish lending business, Capital Flow, with Dutch challenger bank, bunq. This transaction creates a very substantial funding synergy and sustainable profitability for the combined entity.
The deal comes on the back of bunq’s announcement earlier in the morning that it had raised €194 million, valuing the Dutch challenger bank at €1.6 billion. Pollen Street Capital and Ali Niknam, founder of bunq, also joined the investment round.
