Frankfurt – Alantra, the independent global mid-market investment banking, asset management and portfolio advisory firm, has advised IK Investment Partners, a Pan-European private equity firm, on the acquisition of MDT Technologies, a leading manufacturer of innovative building automation components.

Having entered the commercial and domestic building automation market in 2009, MDT has become a leading manufacturer of smart building components, enabling automation and control of a multitude of functions such as heating, ventilation and lighting in both residential and commercial buildings. MDT offers a full range of innovative components distributed mainly through electrical wholesalers in Germany. The attractive end-customer proposition has helped MDT to continuously outgrow the market and become one of the leaders in its field. The Company is headquartered in Engelskirchen.
