Alantra has advised Groupe TDS, one of the leading French players in the long-term rental of industrial vehicles, on its sale to Groupe Berto, the French leader in industrial vehicle rentals.

Groupe TDS has doubled its size, in terms of sales, and significantly increased its geographical presence over the last 10 years. Consequently, the shareholders decided to sell the firm at this time to accelerate its development further.

Founded in 1928 and headquartered in Paris, Groupe TDS is one of the leading French players in the long-term rental of industrial vehicles with drivers for large companies and SMEs, especially in the hazardous material, construction and mass distribution sectors.

The group operates 6 subsidiaries across France, benefitting from its national presence with strong market shares in key French regions (Ile-de-France, Pays de la Loire and Rhône-Alpes). With nearly 800 vehicles and 500 employees, Groupe TDS generated c. €40m of revenues.

This transaction enables Groupe Berto to strengthen its leading position in the French market for long-term rental of industrial vehicles., The company had approximately €300m of revenues in 2018.

Alantra acted as exclusive financial advisor to the shareholders of Groupe TDS.
