Alantra acts as NOMAD and Global Coordinator in the IPO of Farmaè on the Italian AIM Market

Milan – Alantra, an independent global investment banking and asset management firm, has acted as NOMAD and Global Coordinator in the IPO on the Italian AIM of Farmaè, the leading online retailer of beauty & personal care products and OTC medications in Italy.
With more than 200k active customers, 13mn site visits and 2.7mn products sold in 2018, Farmaè provides its customers with a comprehensive product offering ca. 40k SKUs. Farmaè operates a state-of-the-art-and scalable e-commerce platform that enables business partners to set up effective digital commercial strategy and to improve the products positioning. Farmaè revenues has grown at 94% 2015-2018 CAGR.
Through the proceeds of the IPO, Farmaè will accelerate its growth and aim to i) address new attractive end markets by adding highly complementary product categories (e.g. professional hair products, luxury cosmetics, pet); ii) set up a new fully automated warehouse to improve fulfilment capacity; iii) invest in technology and hire new professionals to further develop partnerships with beauty and pharma companies and to increase co-marketing; iv) open new offline stores to develop an omnichannel strategy; v) increase marketing efforts to acquire new customers.
The offer price was set at 7,5 Eur per share for an expected market capitalization of 43 mil. Eur. The IPO has been well received by Italian and international institutional investors and was oversubscribed 2x. The amount raised is approximately 10 mil. Eur and represents a free float of around 23%.
