Alantra advises Adeplast on its sale to Sika AG

Vienna / Ploiesti Alantra, the independent global mid-market investment banking, asset management and portfolio advisory firm, today announced it has advised the owners of Romanian Adeplast on the sale of the Company to Sika AG. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions. The value was not disclosed.

Headquartered in Ploiesti, Romania, Adeplast produces a wide range of building mortars as well as thermal insulation (EPS) for building envelope solutions. The company operates four state-of-the-art production plants which provide a nationwide coverage of Romania and offer the potential to serve neighboring countries as well. With 470 employees, Adeplast generated revenues of €102m in 2018.

The buyer, Sika AG, is a Switzerland-based, Zurich-listed global specialty chemicals company with a leading position in the development and production of systems and products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing, and protecting in the building sector and motor vehicle industry.
