Alantra drives recruitment, strengthening its Midlands presence

7 December 2021 – Alantra, the global mid-market investment banking specialist, continues to strengthen its team with the appointment of Alex Trevor as vice president and key member of its Midlands team.

Alex has over ten years of experience in M&A and joins from Baird, where he worked predominantly within the technology and services sectors advising business owners, management teams and financial investors across the deal size range. Alex started his career at Hawkpoint and then went on to join Edmond de Rothschild. Notable transactions include advising Gen II on its $1.6bn investment from General Atlantic, Hg and IHS Markit; World of Books on its sale to Livingbrdge; and disguise on its sale to Carlyle European Technology Partners.


Alantra recently announced that 2021 is a record year for the firm globally and in the UK, where it has completed over 40 deals so far. To support its clients and this high level of deal activity, Alantra is continuing to invest in its team, adding over 20 dealmakers at all levels across its Birmingham and London offices this year.

Also recently recruited to the Midlands team are analysts Hattie Lloyd and Andrew Smith. Hattie, who graduated from Birmingham University with a Masters in Chemistry, joins from EY where she gained her CA qualification. Andrew joins after spending three years at PwC; he graduated from Warwick University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance.
