Renee Shaening

Renee Shaening is a Partner in the Technology Group based in San Francisco. She has 18 years of investment banking and TMT research experience.  Renee has provided M&A advisory and capital formation services to an array of Technology companies and has developed in-depth knowledge of the Public Cloud Software and Services, Managed Services and Communication Software sectors.

Prior to joining Alantra in 2020, Renee was a Managing Director in the Technology Investment Banking Group at MVP Capital where she spearheaded the firm’s coverage efforts in Public Cloud Services and became a leading M&A advisor to the sector.  Prior to joining MVP, Renee served as an Associate at Venturi & Co, a Bay Area middle-market investment banking firm. She also worked as a Financial Analyst at Kagan Research (now a research division within S&P Global Market Intelligence), a research and consulting group focused on the Technology, Media and Communications sectors.

Renee earned her B.S. in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University and her M.B.A. from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.  Renee also spent two years teaching mathematics as a Peace Corps volunteer in Gabon, Central Africa.
