Nelson Cruz is a Partner and Head of Sales-Trading at Alantra Equities. Before joining Alantra, he served as Director and Head of Sales-Trading at BESI/Haitong Bank in Madrid, where he co-led the team in establishing a strong reputation as a trusted authority in the Iberian market.

With over 25 years of experience in Equity Markets, Nelson has consistently excelled in navigating the industry’s complexities by combining deep financial expertise with a keen ability to adapt to evolving regulations, ensuring both compliance and a strategic edge in an ever-changing financial landscape.

He holds a Postgraduate degree in Financial Markets and Asset Management from CEMAF-ISCTE and a Management degree from UTL-ISEG, both in Lisbon, Portugal.
