José Molina Machuca

José Molina is Director of Alantra FIG. Before joining Alantra in 2019, José worked as a Senior Manager at KPMG Corporate Finance in NPL advisory. He has extensive experience (+12 years) serving in both sell-side and buy-side services. José is specialized in advising on performing, sub-performing, re-performing and non-performing assets of all types, including REOs, unsecured and secured debt of various asset classes (Real Estate developers, SMEs, Corporates, residential, consumer, hotels, etc.). José has participated in different structure finance and ABS transactions related to trade receivables, fintech, renewable energy and portfolio re-structuring.

José has also combined his financial abilities with his entrepreneurial, technological and innovative spirit, as has founded an online retail business. He also developed award-winning NPLs tech-tools at KPMG. Before working at KPMG, José was part of the PwC Global Distressed Portfolio team, where he advised on NPLs portfolios and conducted financial due diligence and M&A. José was also involved in the creation of the bad Bank SAREB in Spain.

José holds a Degree in Business Administration (Pablo de Olavide University), a Degree in Law (at Pablo de Olavide University), a Master in Structure Finance and Private Equity (IE Business School, ranked 2nd in class) and an MBA in Consulting (EOI School, ranked Top 1st of the class).
