Javier is managing partner and CEO of Alantra Investment Banking in Spain. He is also the Global Head of Debt Advisory and debt capital markets at Alantra.
Javier has 23 years’ experience working in investment banking. Prior to joining Alantra, he worked for Citigroup and Royal Bank of Scotland, always holding various roles and positions within the debt space. Javier began his career at Citigroup in New York in the Leveraged Finance Group. He then moved to London and Madrid to work for Royal Bank of Scotland where he was involved in the origination, structuring, and placing of large acquisition financing structures in Europe and LATAM.
Javier holds a BSc degree in Business Management, a Master in Finance and an Executive MBA from IE with honours. Javier is also the CEO of a large catering and events business in Spain.
