George has over 15 years of Investment Banking and Capital Markets experience, across M&A, equity and debt capital raising with a key focus in the Maritime sector. Prior to joining Alantra in 2021, he was a managing director in StormHarbour Securities for 8 years, where he set up the firm’s Maritime & Real Estate investment banking activity. Prior to George worked for 7 years in major investment banking firms in London, including Citigroup Global Markets where he led the firm’s capital markets’ coverage in Greece and Central Eastern Europe, Nomura International and Lehman Brothers.
His expertise includes numerous debt capital markets, equity capital markets and M&A deals in the Maritime & Offshore sector, with clients in Europe and the Middle East, having completed transactions with the cumulative size of ca. $2.0bn. Apart from Maritime, his industry expertise extends to the fields of Financial Institutions, Real Estate, Oil & Gas and Energy.
George holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan and a BSc in Banking and Financial Management from the University of Piraeus, Greece.
