Alfredo leads Alantra’s FIG in Latam with special focus on Mexico. He is currently advising banks and other financial institutions on portfolio sales, asset rotation activities, asset-backed financings and M&A.
Over the last years, Alfredo has advised and structured over US$1 billion in private credit transactions, supporting both corporate borrowers and financial institutions in portfolio monetization and asset-level financings.
Alfredo brings over 25 years of experience in global investment banking, private markets and venture capital. Before joining Alantra, Alfredo held senior roles at Citi, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. He also led investment initiatives at 500 Global, The Abraaj Group and as an investor led six special purpose acquisition companies focused on technology for US$1.3Bn. Throughout his career, he has advised on numerous M&A, capital markets and structured finance transactions across financial institutions, industrial, technology, and consumer sectors totalling more than US$130Bn in transaction value.
He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College, an MA from ITAM and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He has studies at Oxford and at Kennedy School at Harvard University. He is active member of the World Economic Forum since 2010.
