Milan – Alantra, the global investment banking firm and asset management specialist, is pleased to announce that it has acted as financial advisor to UniCredit S.p.A. (“UniCredit”) on the sale of a €1.3 billion NPL mixed portfolio to a securitisation vehicle managed by Illimity.
Alantra provided UniCredit with sell-side assistance and support on data enablement and on executing a benchmark transaction within extremely challenging deadlines. This sale further strengthens UniCredit’s ongoing strategy to reduce non-performing exposures.
Since 2020, Alantra has acted as lead advisor on UniCredit’s NPL deleveraging agenda in Italy, providing committed insight and support on portfolio disposals and two securitisations backed by GACS (Project Olympia and Project Itaca).
