Milan – Alantra has been appointed Corporate Broker to Distribuzione Elettrica Adriatica (DEA) S.p.A., providing equity research and fostering engagement with Italian and international institutional investors.
DEA is an Italian infrastructure company specializing in the management, maintenance, and development of low- and medium-voltage electricity grids across four regions under a 30-year concession agreement. In addition to electricity distribution, the company manages public lighting projects, enhancing municipal infrastructure through long-term contracts.
Established in 2015, DEA has rapidly expanded its Points of Delivery (PoD) from 29k in 2015 to approximately 90k today, leveraging a robust M&A strategy to establish itself as a leading aggregation hub in Italy’s regulated electricity distribution market. Following its July 2023 IPO on the EGM, which raised €8mn, DEA has focused on consolidating small-scale operators managing fewer than 25k PoD, which are ineligible for concession renewal. With a strategic goal of surpassing 100k PoD by 2025, DEA is solidifying its leadership in sector consolidation and strengthening its market positioning.
