Santiago – Alantra, the global investment banking and asset management specialist, is pleased to announce that it has advised the Asociación de Bancos e Instituciones Financieras AG (“Association of Banks and Financial Institutions” or “ABIF”) on the sale of Sinacofi Buró (“the Company”) to Experian, the world’s leading global information services company.

Established in 1987 by the Association of Chilean Banks and Financial Institutions, Sinacofi Buró is Chile’s second-largest credit bureau and a leading provider of credit information, identification services and data analytics solutions in Chile, contributing to the development of financial entities and companies in the credit origination, portfolio management and collection activities.

Experian is the world’s leading global information services company, operating in 44 countries with 17,800 employees, helping companies and users around the world to access credit and maximize all opportunities. Experian is listed on the London Stock Exchange (EXPN) and has a market capitalization of GBP 24.6 billion.

This transaction further enhances Alantra’s track record in the Financial Technology and Data sectors and it strengthens Alantra’s relationship with the ABIF  and with most of the major private banks in Chile.
