Madrid, 19 October 2026 – Alantra’s Energy Transition primary fund, Klima, has led a €7.5mn investment round in Linkener, a Spanish energy technology company providing digital energy management solutions for businesses and organizations. The round was also backed by existing investor GoHub Ventures, which is joining forces with Klima with the aim of speeding up the development of a leading-edge technology platform for SME energy management.
The new capital will support the development of Linkener’s proprietary technology and AI models for energy management, while accelerating organic and inorganic growth and expanding its product and service offering.
The investment marks the 11th portfolio investment of Klima I, a €210mn fund backed by Alantra and Enagás as sponsors, alongside institutional investors including the European Investment Fund, the Canadian Pension Fund, and Axis ICO. With this investment, the fund continues to build a diversified portfolio of technology-driven companies accelerating the transition toward a net-zero energy system, featuring GridBeyond, a smart energy management platform; Dexter Energy, an AI-powered renewable energy forecasting and optimization platform; Echandia, a maritime battery systems provider; or Meteomatics, a weather intelligence company, among other.
Linkener’s proprietary energy management platform combines smart metering, software, energy data and AI to help businesses optimize energy consumption and reduce costs. The company serves more than 2,000 customers across 10,000 supply points, manages 1.7 TWh of energy consumption, and has completed more than 400 solar photovoltaic and battery storage projects across Spain.
Iñigo Echaniz, Partner at Alantra’s Energy Transition fund, Klima, said: “Energy management for businesses and organizations remains a highly fragmented market with significant potential for digitalization. Linkener combines proprietary technology, independent energy data, and direct relationships with thousands of customers, creating a differentiated platform on which to continue adding new capabilities and solutions. Our investment will support the team in this next stage of growth, both organically and through acquisitions, with the ambition of building a leading technology platform for energy management.”
José Ignacio Ruiz, CEO at Linkener, added: “This investment gives us the ability to transform an energy management market that has remained largely unchanged for the past 40 years, with limited adoption of technology and a highly fragmented landscape. Our focus is on providing businesses with the data they need to validate, manage, and predict every euro invested in energy.”
