Alantra strengthens its Technology Investment Banking practice with Managing Director hire in London

London, 31 March 2026 – Alantra, the independent global mid-market financial services firm, has strengthened its Technology Investment Banking team with the appointment of Tom Burton as Managing Director, based in London.
Tom has c.20 years of investment banking experience, with a particular focus on Software, Data, & Analytics. He joins Alantra from TD Securities, where he was a Managing Director based in London. He began his career at Merrill Lynch and Moelis & Company, focused on Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT) investment banking.
Tom’s appointment further strengthens Alantra’s Technology sector team, which offers deep expertise across Communications & IT Services, Technology Consulting, Software, and Fintech, with a local presence in the UK, the U.S., France, Spain, Germany, the Nordics, and Latin America. Over the past three years, Alantra has advised on more than 60 transactions in the Technology sector, with an aggregate value of over €4.5bn.
Recent transactions include advising MC Partners portfolio company Denovo Ventures on its acquisition by Trinity Hunt Partners-backed Argano, Intera Partners on their investment in WiseNetwork, Threatscape on securing a significant investment from Horizon Capital, Orange Business on the Sale of Océan, Its Fleet Management Business, to Shiftmove, as well as Joblogic and Axiom Equity on their strategic growth investment from Vista Equity Partners.
