Alantra recruits Fabrice Scheer as Managing Partner and Nicolas Senlis as Director to strengthen its French team

Paris – Alantra, the independent global investment banking, alternative asset management and credit portfolio advisory firm, has announced the recruitment of Fabrice Scheer as Managing Partner and Nicolas Senlis as Director. Both joined from UBS Wealth Management in France, where Mr. Scheer was Managing Director in charge of M&A MidCaps and Mr. Senlis was Director M&A MidCaps.

Their arrival strengthens Alantra’s leading position in France in mid-market M&A. Alantra is ranked in the top tier of independent M&A advisors in France (in terms of number of transactions), completing 25 M&A, financing and stock market engineering deals in 2019. Since its creation in 2015, Alantra’s French office has provided advice on over 80 transactions, with nearly half of them having an International component.

Fabrice Scheer, Managing Partner

Fabrice Scheer (50 years old) began his career at Sofaris / CEPME before joining Ernst & Young Corporate Finance in 1999 and UBS in 2005. Since 2008, he was Managing Director and head of the M&A MidCaps activity in France. Over the last 11 years, Fabrice and his team have advised over 150 transactions with a combined enterprise value of more than €10bn. He holds a degree from the Université Lumière Lyon 2 in Banking & Finance.

Nicolas Senlis, Director

Nicolas Senlis (37 years old) holds a Magistère from Paris-Dauphine University and a Master’s degree from Brandeis University in Boston. He began his career at UBS in 2007 as a member of the M&A MidCaps team, and most recently held the position of Director. During this period, he worked on more than 40 M&A transactions in the Midmarket.

With these recruitments, the Alantra France team is comprised of 30 professionals dedicated to corporate consulting (mergers and acquisitions, stock market operations, financing). The team includes 5 Managing Partners.
