Paris – Alantra announces that it has advised Orange Business, Orange’s B2B subsidiary, on the sale of Océan to Shiftmove. Océan provides fleet management services that help companies and public sector entities efficiently manage their vehicles, equipment, and heavy trucks.

Océan manages a fleet of nearly 170,000 vehicles across France and operates a Software-as-a-Service platform, along with tailored services designed to optimize costs, improve employee safety, and support clients in meeting their environmental transition commitments. The acquisition by Shiftmove will allow Océan to benefit from a focused industry player ready to consolidate the market to maximize its growth potential.

With this sale, Orange Business continues to execute its strategy of refocusing its business portfolio and allocating investments to key strategic priorities.

Shiftmove, headquartered in Berlin, aims to become the leading European provider of digital fleet solutions by 2027. Created in January 2023 from the merger of sector leaders Avrios (founded in 2015) and Vimcar (founded in 2013), Shiftmove previously acquired the French fleet management company Optimum Automotive in October 2024.

Oriane Durvye, Managing Partner at Alantra, stated, “This transaction represents another step in Orange Business’s strategic refocusing on its core activities. At the same time, it will enable Océan to continue its development within a group fully dedicated to fleet management. We thank Orange Business for its trust throughout the process. »

This transaction further strengthens Alantra’s growing track record in software and technology, following recent transactions including the sale of GRAX to Ascendx, SpearMC to Mythics, Sincera to Virtusa, and Joblogic’s strategic investment from Vista Equity Partners.
