Wim Goossens

Wim Goossens started up Alantra Belgium mid 2017 as Managing Director. After a short academic career and experience in the maritime industry, he built up over 25 years in investment banking (financial advisory) having executed a multitude of transactions first at Generale Bank, then with ABN AMRO / RBS and with BNP Paribas. He covered a variety of sectors ranging from consumer goods, food and beverages, industrials, healthcare and chemicals to technology companies, real estate, energy and utilities and business services as well as the public sector. He advised on different de-listings (a.o. CNP, Omega Pharma, Henex and Compagnie Maritime Belge) as well as buy and sell side mandates for international Belgian corporates and a range of large international private equity houses. Recent transactions at Alantra include a.o. the buy side advisory for Alpha Associés on Waterland’s asset IPCOM, the buy side for FNG Group on the Swedish Ellos Group acquisition and the sell side of Luxemburg Circles Group to Eurazeo backed Albingia group.

He holds Master Degrees in Business Economics, Maritime Sciences, Maritime and Fluvial Law as well as an MBA from Antwerp Management School. Wim is fluent in Flemish, French, English and German.
